John the Baptist has come eating no bread and drinking no wine, and you say, 'He has a demon!'  The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, 'Behold, a gluttonous man and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!'

 Proverbs 23:29-35

Do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord.

 Ephesians 5:18-19

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters… nor drunkards, nor revilers…will inherit the kingdom of God.  I Corinthians 6:9-11

 Proverbs 31:4-7

The LORD then spoke to Aaron, saying, "Do not drink wine or strong drink, neither you nor your sons with you, when you come into the tent of meeting, so that you will not die-- it is a perpetual statute throughout your generations-- and so as to make a distinction between the holy and the profane, and between the unclean and the clean,

 Leviticus 10:8-10

Elders must… not be addicted to wine… Deacons, likewise, must… not be addicted to wine.
